Our Colourways

As patchworkers we are often still working on a project long after the fabrics in it have sold out at the shops. It can be hard to match fabrics even a few weeks after their release as many ranges sell out very quickly. What to do? Come up with our own range of course! Only ours isn't a range in the usual sense of the word because we didn't design the fabric ourselves. Rather, we mix and match fabrics from multiple manufacturers to give each colourway a unique feel. The careful thought and planning that has gone into our colourways allows us to incorporate new fabrics as they become available and farewell old favourites without upsetting the feel of the finished projects.
In short, each of our colourways is a carefully selected pallet of fabrics that work together to give a scrappy feel to our projects while yielding a somewhat disciplined end result.
Our colourways allow our customers to add to their projects over a long period of time with no fear of the newer additions standing out from the older blocks - just stick to your favourite colourway. This also means our customers can make multiple projects that match each other and start a new coordinating project at any time.
Our current colourways are defined below.

Fresh

Bright, modern and vibrant. Crisp white, bright red, aqua, orange peel, hot pink, and other strong brights mix happily with softer blues, greens, yellows and pinks. A good mix of stripes, polka dots, florals, checks and contemporary prints which go together to give youthfulness and sparkle to our Fresh colourway.

Nostalgia

Retro cool. Lime green, orange peel, denim blue, red, buttercup yellow, navy, pink and others in a mix of modern prints and fabrics reminiscent of the 1930's, 1950's and 1970's.

Romance

Soft , romantic and girly. Coral, lemon, pink, mint, pale blue, soft greens and lavender featuring lots of roses and other floral prints with some paisley prints and textures for good measure.

Vintage

Nineteenth century reproductions and coordinating fabrics of rich blues, browns, warm pinks, purple, beige, and dusty orange with accents of cheddar yellow, navy and red come together to form a pallet straight from the 1860's.
